Birthday Wishes And News On The Next Show
Hi All
I hope you’re all enjoying the weekend.
The Next Show
The next show is very likely to be from The Eurythmics from their Touch tour of late 1983. Currently shaping up to be a nice, clear stereo recording. This will be an interesting contrast to the show I already restored a few years ago from early 1983, just before they started having chart success. If you want to hear that earlier show, just click on the image below to go to the site page.
Happy Birthday
In a transparent and frankly rather poor attempt to increase site visibility and remind people of some of the older shows i’ve done, I thought I’d link to a couple of artists who have a birthday today and who have appeared on Live and Loud!
So, firstly, Debbie Harry is 78 today (hands up who now feels old! I know I do…)! As I type, she’s still fronting a version of Blondie and tonight will be playing an outdoor event in London. I’ve restored 2 live shows from Blondie so far, from 1978 and 1980 (the latter featuring a guest appearance from Robert Fripp from King Crimson - now even more well known for being Toyah Willcox’s husband and presenting their Sunday Lunch).
Click on the pic of Debbie to check out the 2 Blondie gig restorations if you wish:
And today is ALSO a very happy birthday to Fred Schneider of the B-52s who is 72 today! Almost 4 years ago I restored a gig of theirs from very early on in their career (1978, in fact). Click on the graphic below if you want to check out that one:
That’s all for now - next newsletter should be when the next restoration is up and ready in a week or so. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! And if you haven’t already, please hit the subscribe button below to always be in the know when there are updates!
Cheers!
Phil
