Hi all!
First The Bad News…
This will be the last update of the year. Unfortunately, my studio PC started misbehaving and as of this (Sunday) morning has been taken away by my local PC tech to diagnose and cure. Which means there definitely won’t be a restoration before Christmas - even if he gets it back to me in the next few days, I still have to finish a paid restoration job as a priority.
This doesn’t affect any donation requests for split files as they are stored in my cloud storage (unless it’s a show that hasn’t yet been split, but most have these days) but does scupper any restoration work until it comes back.
So, not the best news but hopefully things will be rolling again early in the new year.
Social Media
I don’t know how many of you follow Live and Loud! on social media but as of the end of 2022, I will be removing my accounts on Twitter and Instagram. I may well create a replacement account elsewhere (Mastodon or something) but that will be for next year. The Facebook page and group will be staying, at least for the next few months. The most reliable way to get any news on the site or the shows is this newsletter ultimately, and already it has far more engagement than Twitter/Instagram ever did. And Facebook, most weeks.
So, if you’re currently following me on Twitter or Instagram, please consider subscribing to this free newsletter, if you haven’t already.
And Finally…
In the meantime, I would like to thank you once again for subscribing, and for your interest in the website and the work I do. Many of us are having a hard time of things at the moment - more so than ever as this year comes to a close. Hopefully at least the music on the site can act as a distraction for an hour or so for some of you.
If you don’t celebrate Christmas, I will wish you happy holidays. To those of you celebrating Hanukkah, I wish you a Happy Hanukkah for this coming week, and for those of you who DO celebrate Christmas…Merry Christmas! And to all of you, I hope 2023 is a better one for us all.
Take care all, and I’ll see you on the other side!
Phil

If you want a mastodon account and you want to build a community it is far better to run a Mastodon instance which is like a server. Still can interact with everybody but you can build a community with your rules, your ideas your everything....
Of course, if you need to I can help but as of now it's what I'd recommend as a way to interact. Small businesses are embracing Mastodon as a way of doing their own thing whilst also being accessible....
